"Lepsiella scobina albomarginata" is a subspecies of small predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Muricidae, the murex snails or rock snails.

Distribution

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand including the Chatham Islands.

Habitat

This subspecies is found intertidally in rocky areas.

hell description

Compared with "Lepsiella scobina scobina" the whorls are only slightly shouldered, the spiral cords weak, the axial growth lines neither lamellose nor scabrous, and the outer lip is more or less continuously narrowly edged with white.

The shell coloration is similar to "Lepsiella scobina scobina", except that there are narrow, continuous, spiral lines of brown, not broken up into speckles.

The maximum shell height is 21.5 mm, and the maximum width is 14 mm.
