Beatriz Allende

Beatriz Allende

Beatriz Allende Bussi (September 8, 1943 - October 11, 1977) was a Chilean Socialist politician and revolutionary. She was the daughter of former president of Chile Salvador Allende, and his wife, Hortensia Bussi.

She married Cuban diplomat Luis Fernandez de Oña. Following her father's death in the coup of September 11, 1973, Allende fled with her mother and two sisters to Cuba, where she later committed suicide.
