Bruce Carver

Bruce Carver

Bruce Carver co-founded Access software (later re-named Indie Built) in 1982, which began producing titles for 8-bit computers, which included Beach-Head, , Raid over Moscow, and many others.

He created with his brother Roger Carver the influential Links (computer game) series, beginning with Leader Board and World Class Leader Board. The Links games defined golf video games and simulations.

After Access was sold to Microsoft in 1999 he continued to work on games until 2003 when he left to create a construction company and collaborate with other former Access employees in the golf simulator company TruGolf. In December of 2005, Carver unexpectedly died of cancer. He is survived by 6 children and 16 grandchildren.
