Numbers 2211-30, built in
1940 did not have side windows. Designed byCharles Collett for medium freight and passenger duties they had 5' 2" driving wheels. Carrying a maximum of 3000 imperialgallon s (13,600 L) of water to fuel a boiler operating at 200 psi (1.4 MPa) they developed a tractive effort of 20,155lbf (89.65 kN). They could be found operating on most parts of the former GWR system.These were the first GWR0-6-0 to use the type 10 boiler as later fitted to theGWR 9400 Class and some rebuilds of absorbed locomotives.They were withdrawn between 1958 and 1965.
