- Harry Foundalis
Harry Foundalis (Χάρης Φουνταλής, born April 14th, 1962, in Edessa,
Greece ) is a cognitive scientist. His has worked on his Ph.D withDouglas Hofstadter at theUniversity of Indiana at Bloomington , and developedPhaeaco , an architecture to solveBongard problem s, a work for which he has received the University's Dissertation Award [ [http://www.cogs.indiana.edu/events/awardee.html Dr. Foundalis is the 2007 Cognitive Science Program Award Recipient] 2007] . He has also studied in theUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham for an M.Sc in computer science, and at theUniversity of Crete for a B.S. in mathematics. Though he has focused most of his work on Bongard Problems, he also written papers on other areas, such as the evolution of language.His work has been mentioned in publications such as the
