Washington Circle is a
traffic circle in the Northwestquadrant ofWashington, D.C. ,U.S.A. It is located at the intersection ofPennsylvania Avenue ,New Hampshire Avenue , K Street, and 23rd Street, N.W. The through lanes of K Street (which areU.S. Highway 29 ) tunnel under the circle, while the service lanes intersect the circle.The
Foggy Bottom campus of theGeorge Washington University adjoins Washington Circle. The closest Metro station is Foggy Bottom-GWU.In the center of the circle is an equestrian statue of
