"The Rip" was a single by Portishead, released in June 2008. It is the second release from the band's album "Third". It was previously called "Mystic".
The animated promotional video (made by Nick Uff) was first broadcast on May 12, 2008 on the band's website.
The song has been covered live by Radiohead during soundchecks on their 2008 tour, and Colin Greenwood has recorded a video of Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke covering the song acoustically and was posted on Radiohead's official website.
