Francisco López is an avant-garde experimental musician and biologist. Since 1983, he has released over 200 musical works, with labels such as Alien8 Recordings, Mego, Staalplaat, Table of the Elements, Touch Music, and V2_Archief. In 2001, López started the music label Absolute.

López works with sound objects and microsounds. For live performances, he frequently performs in complete darkness, or distributes blindfolds throughout the audience.

In 2006, López won the First Prize for the Sound Art Competition of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León. He has also received 3 honourable mentions in the Prix Ars Electronica (1999, 2002, 2007). [http://www.franciscolopez.net/resume.html#studios francisco lópez - resume] ]

His piece Untitled 213 was used in the Spain Pavilion at Expo 2008 in Zaragoza, Spain.
