extinct genus of earlywhale . "Artiocetus clavis" is among the oldest known protocetid archaeocetes, and is perhaps best known for being the first of the whales to develop tail flukes. This whale exsisted during the early Lutetian age (47 million years ago). Recent remains have been located in eastern Balochistan Province, Pakistan.References
