Jonathan Antin

Jonathan Antin (born August 15, 1968 in Los Angeles County, California [ [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1648002/ Jonathan Antin ] ] ) is the owner of two Los Angeles hair salons; Jonathan Salon West Hollywood and Jonathan Salon Beverly Hills. The opening of the latter salon served as the basis for the first season of the reality television series "Blow Out", which chronicled his life as an entrepreneur, hair stylist, and hair product creator. He has worked with celebrities such as Madonna, Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst, Rod Stewart, Alicia Silverstone, Margaret Cho, Tiger Woods, Ricky Martin, and Jackie Warner. He also appeared in American Express commercials.

He was student at the Fairfax Beauty Academy. He quickly landed a job at a trendy West Hollywood salon, and after many years of working his way up the ladder, Antin was able to purchase the salon. He charges $500 for a haircut.

Antin and his wife Sescie have a son, Asher, who was born in 2006. On April 12, 2007 Jonathan and his wife Sescie announced that they were expecting a second child.

He is the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, director Steve Antin and actor Neil Antin.

He was a judge in the 2004 Miss Teen USA Pageant.

In January 2004, he appeared in an episode of Bravo's makeover show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

In the first season of Work Out, Jonathan appeared in the final episode, giving a haircut and straight razor shave to Jackie Warner.

He currently has a product line called Jonathan available nationwide at Sephora.

He has appeared in the magazine "Inked".

Appearance on Da Ali G Show

Antin appeared on Episode 4 of the first season of Da Ali G Show on HBO, where he was interviewed by the British comic Sacha Baron Cohen in the guise of Bruno, a gay Austrian media personality. Baron Cohen often uses the Bruno character to highlight the pretentiousness and superficiality of his interviewees in the fashion world. Antin opens the segment by describing himself as "a troubled, crazy, fuckin' maniac that has a lot of a feelings and a lot of emotion and a lot of craziness." After Bruno observes that "all of the evil people in the world" such as Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hitler, and Josef Stalin had mustaches, Antin concedes that not all Middle Easterners are crazy, but agrees with his interviewer that most of them are "a little fucking nuts, a little weird." Bruno follows up by noting that on the other hand, all the good people in the world, like Jesus, Rod Stewart, and hippies, had long hair. Antin responds that he is "very impressed" that Bruno "brought these issues up," because Antin had thought he was the only one who had ever noticed such a coincidence. Antin goes on to point out that Moses and God also had long hair and "didn't care so much about their look." When prodded on by Bruno to say something controversial, Antin delivers the following warning: "You motherfuckers in the Middle East, God help you if I ever come over there, 'cause I'll take all you cocksuckers out."
