Guglielmo Picchi, born
April 26 ,1973 is an Italian politician.Graduated in Business at the
University of Florence , and with a Master of Business Administration from SDA Bocconi Business school in Milan, contributed to the founding ofForza Italia party in Tuscany in 1993.Elected to the City council of Florence from 1995 to 1999, moved then to London to work for a British investment bank.
In 2006 was elected for the first time in parliament in the European costituency for the Italians resident abroad with 5362 preference votes. Was a member of the foreign affairs commission.
In 2008 was re-elected in the same costituency with 13239 preference votes.
A London resident since 2003 campaigned actively for
Boris Johnson 's successful mayoral race in London in 2008.Since june 2008 is a member of the Italian Parliamentary delegation to the Organisation for Security and Co-operation In Europe (
