Witch Brooms

Witch Brooms

Witch Brooms, or Birds' Nests, in botany, are peculiar broom-like growths often seen on the branches of many trees. They are a dense development of branching twigs formed at one place on a branch as the result of the irritation set up by the presence of a mite or a fungus.
