Threadneedle Figurative Prize

Threadneedle Figurative Prize

The Threadneedle Figurative Prize is designed to showcase the best in new contemporary figurative art. The prize was launched by the Mall Galleries in 2008.

The Prizes

There are two major prizes which totals £35,000: the £25,000 Threadneedle Figurative Prize and the £10,000 Federation of British Artists Selectors' Choice.

The panel of selectors will shortlist seven works from the open submission to be in for the chance to win the Threadneedle Figurative Prize. The artist who ives the largest share of public votes - online and at the exhibition - wins the Prize. All works selected for the exhibition can win the £10,000 Federation of British Artists Selectors' Choice, which is awarded by the selectors to the artist they believe has submitted the most outstanding work.

The same artist can win both prizes, making this event one of the most valuable competitions in the contemporary art world.
