Walter Campbell of Shawfield

Walter Campbell of Shawfield (1741 – October 19, 1816), the grandson of Daniel Campbell (d. 1753), was Rector of the University of Glasgow from 1789 to 1791.cite web|accessdate=2008-05-15|url=http://www.universitystory.gla.ac.uk/biography/?id=WH1160&type=P|title=Biography of Walter Campbell of Shawfield |publisher=University of Glasgow ] He was also the Laird of Islay, Scotland.
