Steve Fanara is the current head college football coach for the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets located in Brownwood, Texas. He was named to that position following the 2007 season to become the 20th football coach at the school. His first season begins in 2008. Before being named to the post, he was defensive coordinator at Howard Payne under the previous head coach Mike Redwine. Personal life

Fanara earned his bachelor's degree at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, where he played football for two seasons before beginning his coaching career as a student assistant. Fanara also holds a Masters degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Steve and his family family reside in Brownwood.
