- Mighty Minnows
-
The Mighty Minnows were founded in 2007. They are an invitational rugby sevens team with players selected to play ranging from various levels of rugby.
The first appearance of the Mighty Minnows was at the Caldy Sevens in 2007 where they were unluckily beaten by Sale Sharks in the final 28-31. However returning in 2008 they were championship winners, cruising to victory beating Wharfedale in the final. Try of the tournament would have been scored by Ian '2 minutes' Jordan if it wasn't for dropping a bread basket pass by David Legat. If selected, he will try harder next year.
The Mighty Minnows are set to up the level and have entered Bournemouth Sevens where they will be competing on a world class stage against some of the best sevens players in the world, including Seru Rabeni, Jamie Noon, Ross Fennell and Andrew Farrell.
