Woodville Railway Station is the Junction of the Wairarapa Line from Wellington and the Palmerston North - Gisborne Line, located the small town of Woodville, 27km east of Palmerston North

The Junction arrangement at Woodville is unique as it includes Balloon loop allowing trains from Wellington/Wairarapa to carry on to Hawke's Bay with out having to its locomotive disconnect and run round its train. Unlike a triangle, the balloon loop enables these trains to serve Woodville station

History

ervices

Passenger Services to Wellington via the Wairarapa Line finished in August 1988, last service use this station was TranzSecnic's Bay Express finishing in October 2001.

There are occasional excursions, such as Tararua Tourer run by Mainline Steam.
