If you're reading this, it's too late

If you're reading this, it's too late is the sequel to The Name of this Book is Secret in the "Secret Series", by Edie Bilmann, under the pen name, Pseudonymous Bosch. It is to be released in September 2008 and features the same characters as the first book.

Plot

For 500 years, the The Midnight Sun have been waiting for the homunculus, the man-made man, to rise, and now the evil Dr. L and Ms. Mauvais are going to throw Cass and Max-Ernest to the sharks unless they tell them where he resides. After going on an excursion with their science teacher, the two are tricked by Dr. L after receiving a note from Pietro saying he will meet them on a ship. After discovering it was a giant trick, they escape. But now, Cass has become the holder of the Sound Prism, but how is this ball of sound supposed to help her find the homunculus? What does he know about the buried secrets of the alchemist? And since she has been grounded, how is she supposed to finish her mission?

After finding out their teacher is really Owen, the accent changing Terces Society Member (Terces Society is a Secret Society created by Pietro Bergamo), a society known by spelling 'secret' backwards, they are introduced to the great magician himself, Pietro.

Now Max-Ernest is also in trouble, but this time in detention, the two need help. This time teaming up with a new classmate named Yo-Yoji, the two need to escape the grasp of their parents, and find the alchemist's grave...

...But Dr. L and Ms. Mauvis have other plans.
