Rupert Hoogewerf (Chinese: ; Pinyin: Hú rùn), born in 1970 in Luxembourg, is the publisher of the Hurun Report, a monthly magazine best-known for its "China Rich List", a ranking of the most wealthiest individuals in China [cite web|url=http://www.mediaworksasia.com/publication/detail/000000043/page1/|title=Hurun Report|accessdate=2008-06-25] cite web |url=http://www.hurun.net/indexen.aspx |title=Hurun Report - Webpage for China's Business Leaders |format= |work= |accessdate=2008-06-25] . A qualified chartered accountant, Hoogewerf worked for seven years at Arthur Andersen, before launching Hurun Report.

Other key lists produced by Hurun Report include the "Hurun Philanthropy List" (est. 2004),a ranking of the most generous individuals in China, and the "Hurun Contemporary Art List" (est. 2008), a ranking of the top fifty living Chinese artists based on their sales of art at public auction in the past year. The "Hurun Best of the Best Awards" (est 2005) are the annual awards held in January for brands targeting China's richest.
