Achilles Liarmakopoulos is a recent winner in the second
Christian Lindberg International Solo Competition held in Valencia, Spain. [http://www.curtisbrass.com/news.html Curtis Brass.com :: Recent News ] ] He has won numerous other competitions including the International Trombone Festival's Robert Marsteller/Conn-Selmer, Solo, and Larry Wiehe Competitions, as well as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Concerto Competition.http://www.sfcm.edu/pdf/April_May.pdf]A native of Athens, Greece, Mr. Liarmakopoulos has performed with orchestras such as the San Francisco Marin Symphony, Santa Cruz County Symphony, San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the European Union Youth Orchestra. He has given recitals and solo performances in venues all over the world including a solo performance at
Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles as the grand-prize winner of the Pasadena Showcase House Instrumental Competition.
