Religion
The village historically had two non-conformist Chapels; The Ellerdine Bethel Methodist Chapel [ [http://www.users.waitrose.com/~coxfamily/ellerd2.htm [former Bethel Methodist Chapel, Ellerdine, Shropshire ] ] and the Ellerdine Heath Emmanual Chapel, the latter was opened in 1813.
