The 70m high Perlachturm is a tower of the
Augsburg old town. In the10th century built as awatchtower he is nowadays part of an ensemble with the Town Hall of Augsburg, a landmark of the Reichsstadt.The meaning of "Perlachturm"
The origin of the name "Perlach" is unknown, there are different opinions about. The conventional wisdom is, that it came from the middleage shows on the place with wild bears. "Per" means in
