Shaoxing County

Shaoxing County (zh-stpw|s=linktext|绍|兴|t=linktext|紹|興|p=Shàoxīng|w=Shao-hsing) is a county in northeastern Zhejiang province, People's Republic of China.

Shaoxing County has an area of 1,177 square kilometers.

Shaoxing County contains 302 administrative villages, 70 neighborhood committees (community), and has a registered population of 710,500 and a non-registered population of 601,000.

Economy

Shaoxing County has experienced rapid economic and social development, and repeatedly entered the top ten counties. In 2007, the county's GDP reached 54 billion yuan with a growth rate of 16.2% from 2006, per capita GDP reached RMB 76,363 yuan (US$10,105); financial revenues reached 6.702 billion yuan, of which the local financial revenue 3.279 billion yuan, respectively, an annual increase of 28.7% and 27.8%, total fixed asset investment of 21.458 billion yuan, an annual increase of 11.2%, of which 14.031 billion yuan of industrial inputs, an annual growth of 10.6%; urban residents per capita disposable income reached 23,241 yuan, the per capita net income of farmers 11,871 yuan, respectively, the average annual growth of 13.6% and 13.7%.
