Russian Technology

Russian Technology

Russian Technology is a state corporation ("goskorporatsiya") of Russia which is classified as a non-profit NGO (non-government organization). It was originally created to help fuel future technological breakthroughs in Russia using funding from Russia's expanding oil stabilization fund. [Early research on "goskorporatsia" of Russia has been done by Prof. Vadim Volkov of the European University in St. Petersburg and has been presenting in numerous places, including the Maxwell School of Citizenship, Syracuse University on April 24, 2008] With over a billion dollars in funding from the Russian government, Russian Technology is poised to become a major state corporation in Russia. Some analysts believe it is likely that Russian Technology will incorporate Rosoboronexport (the largest and only military arms exporter in Russia) into its assets.
