Soul Eyes ", was rewarded with a three-book contract and published in October 2005 byGenesis Press and distributed byKensington Publishing Corp . It launched the publisher's newest imprint Obsidian Fantasy Imprint. Accompanied by excellent reviews, the book was nominated by the publisher for aNAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Literary Work." Wilson is now writing his second novel with the working title, Spirits in the Dark.Wilson has written over 200 (short & long) biographies for educational publications including interviews with such notables as

After reading Wilson's first screenplay, former chairman and chief executive officer ofUniversal Pictures , Casey Silver, hired Wilson, through his production company, to co-write a treatment and original screenplay for Universal. The screenplay, a musical, entitled Ryan and Angela centers on a high school interracial love affair in SouthBoston . Wilson is currently at work on his fourth original screenplay.Recently, Wilson served as a contributing writer for the African American National Biography (AANB), a joint project of the
W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African American Research atHarvard University andOxford University Press. The unprecedented and extensive dictionary was published February 2008.
