Rakkojae is a South Korean cultural center located in the Bukchon Hanok Village of Jongno-gu, Seoul, established with the purpose for foreign visitors to experience Korean culture in a "hanok" (한옥) or Korean traditional house. It began operations as a guesthouse in 2003, a year after the 2002 FIFA World Cup held by South Korea and Japan.cite web|url=http://english.seoul.go.kr/today/infocus/specialreport/1248296_5093.php |title=The Experience of Hanok Living at its Best |publisher=Seoul Metropolitan Government / Monthly SEOUL |date=2007-08-16|accessdate=2008-05-07 |author=Elizabeth Shim] cite web|url=http://www.encyber.com/search_w/ctdetail.php?masterno=771691&contentno=771691 |title=낙고재 樂古齋|accessdate=2008-05-07 |language=Korean]
