Philip Warner

Philip Warner is a freelance portrait and entertainment photographer living in Houston, Texas. His work has been published world wide and featured on Playboy.com, the E Channel, MTV, a trailer for CSI-NY and in galleries across the US and Europe. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 with a double major in Asian Studies and Linguistics. In 2003 he founded Lithium Picnic Studio and was invited to become the first male staff photographer for SuicideGirls. His work for prominently featured in both issues of the SG Magazine, the SG press photos as well as many of core graphics of the SG myspace page and banners. Warner claims his grandfather inspired him to pursue photography as a hobby, and that documenting his excursions and research in SE Asia and Central America are what lead to his passion for taking intimate, moving portraits. His work and persona have recently been thrust into the spotlight due to a highly publicized [cite web | title = SG Sues Lead Photographer| url = http://digg.com/odd_stuff/SuicideGirls_com_Sues_lead_Photographer_for_100_000 | publisher = www.digg.com] $100,000 lawsuit against Warner for photographing his ex partner (former Suicide Girl Amanda Pemberton) who models under the name "Apnea". SuicideGirls has recently filed an additional lawsuit against Pemberton.
