Grant County High School is a public high school serving the ninth through twelfth grades in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, USA. It is one of six schools and the only high school in the Grant County Schools district.

chool information

The current Grant County High School building was dedicated in 1998. The campus covers 51 acres. Computer terminals are available in each classroom and the art studios and science labs are crazy awesome. Six computer labs are available for student use along with a media center with Internet access.

The student-teacher ratio is 19, which exceeds the state average of 16. Spending per pupil is $6,055, less than the state average of $7,132.

"Grant County High School, in partnership with the community, will maintain a safe, caring environment where the social, emotional and intellectual needs of all students are met. We believe that high quality education, best instructional practices, technology and reflection will allow us to meet the goal of proficiency and graduate well-rounded, independent life-long learners who achieve at high levels, function productively in society and become responsible citizens with high ethical standards and a healthy respect for self and others."

Performance

The high school is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Over forty percent of the student population is classified as "Academic Achievers," who achieve at high levels, attend school regularly, and exhibit exemplary behavior. In 2006-2007 students took Advanced Placement (AP) examinations in 11 of the 37 course areas.
