Owen Poland

Owen Poland is a presenter, and a reporter for Breakfast Business and ONE News. Since 2001, he has held the position of business correspondent, and has won numerous awards for his reporting.

His broadcasting career began in 1975, as a radio journalist in Hamilton, and has also worked at Australia's Nine Network News in Melbourne and Sydney, CNN, Sky Television and TV3 in New Zealand.

Awards

As part of the TVNZ News Team, Poland has won five Qantas Media awards and three Westpac awards for his reporting. He was also part of the Best News Team at the 2005 Qantas Film & Television Awards, and in 1997 won the Qantas Prize for Best Television News Reporter while Business Editor at TV3.
