Dr. Robert L. McLendon, Jr. is an American academic, and the current President of St. Johns River Community College. He has served as the President since 1972 and he is currently the longest serving President in the Florida Community Colleges System. McLendon graduated with his Bachelors degree from Florida Southern College. He received his Masters degree and Doctorate from Florida State University. Dr. McLendon had previously served as vice-president and dean of academic affairs at SJRCC before he was appointed President.
