Crete , one of the thirteenperipheries of Greece .Sensatori is notable because it is built on top of a live
volcano . Heat from the volcano is used to provide hot water and heating throughout the winter and summer months. The last recorded eruption from the volcano was 1704, and follows a 300 year cycle.The resort is still in the construction phase and is due to be fully operational in the last quarter of 2008 in time for the skiing season.
