Faith Ringgold School is located in Hayward, California. It was created from two other schools (Charquin and Hayward Project) whitcked merged together at in the unused part of the soon closing Edwin Markham School on Ward & Sixth Streets and was called Charquin Project K-8. A contest for a new name happened in 2007 and the name was changed again to it's current name.
Charquin History
Chrquin was created in 1972 at Markham's B Hall and stayed there until the ealy 2000s and moved to the former Laurel School on Virgil Court site in rooms 7-12.
Hayward Project K-8 History
HP K-8 was created in 1996 in the back of Tennyson High School and stayed until the merger.
Today
Faith Ringgold School is currently using using Rooms 1-3 and 17-25 of Markham and will take over the campus after Markham's closure in June 2009.
