Susanna Adams

Susanna Adams

Born Dec. 28, 1768, Susanna was the second daughter of John Adams, the second President of the United States, and his First Lady, Abigail Adams. She was named after John's mother, Susanna Boylston Adams and called "Suky" by her father who adored her much. In a letter to Abigail on June 29, 1769, John made a request of Abigail, for Suky(6mos now): "Can't you contrive to go to Braintree to kiss my little Suky, for me." The child, so loved by her parents, sadly, did not make it through her second winter and died a little over a month after her first birthday, February 4th,1770.
