Roger Segure (May 22, 1905,
New York City – January 28, 2000) was an Americanjazz arranger.Segure was primarily an
autodidact . He accompaniedMidge Williams on piano in the 1930s for her tours of the United States, andEast Asia . Later in the 1930s he did arrangements forLouis Armstrong ,Andy Kirk , and John Kirby. From 1940 to 1944 he was the principal arranger forJimmie Lunceford . He moved toLos Angeles in the 1940s, where he worked as a musical director for television and in music education.References
