Sainudeen Pattazhy

Sainudeen Pattazhy (or Pattazhi) is zoology professor working in Sree Narayana College in Kollam. He is originally from Kerala, India.

In 2008, the Committee for Small Bodies Nomenclature [ [http://www.ss.astro.umd.edu/IAU/csbn/ Iau Csbn ] ] (CSBN) of the International Astronomical Union named an asteroid after the Pattazhy: 5178 Pattazhy It was discovered by the California-based astronomer R. Rajamohan in 1989 [ [http://www.thehindu.com/2008/05/01/stories/2008050154160400.htm The Hindu : Kerala / Kollam News : Minor planet named after Malayali ] ] .
