Creation

It's been really hectic but good fun. The other actors have been fantastic and the directors are great too. Some characters get a huge introduction, but mine has a 'flow' to it. In the context of the show, a recent series 10 plot strand had seen ward sister Chrissie Williams (Tina Hobley) depart from Holby in the aftermath of a violent attack by her former boyfriend, consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Stuart McElroy (Connor Mullen). Personality

The BBC have described Daisha as "a forthright and assertive Filipina with a highly tuned sense of right and wrong. She doesn't understand hierarchy or tact but is straightforward and honest and has a natural antenna when it comes to flirting." Grant has compared herself to her character, asserting that she believes: "I'm half similar to Daisha as my mum's a Filipina. torylines

Daisha first appears in "Holby City" in episode "Twelve Hour Nightmare", when it is explained that although she has been working in the hospital for some time, she has previously only worked on the Orthopedic ward - not one of the four wards the show focuses on. She discovers that an ex-boyfriend of hers has been admitted as a patient, and flirts with nursing consultant Mark Williams in order to win herself a transfer onto Darwin ward. She and her boyfriend reconcile, however terminate their relationship abruptly several weeks later when his jealousy issues cause him to accuse her of cheating on him with surgical registrar Joseph Byrne.
