Samtia

Samtia

Samtia pronEng|sææmtɪɑː is a local caste of Bhakkar and Layyah, which is believed to be closely linked with the "Bakhar" caste of Sindh. There are some other casts in other areas of Pakistan which are believed to be the ancestors of the main Samtia caste. In Sindh, it is pronounced as IPA|. This can also be proved by looking into the relationship of the Saraiki and Sindhi languages which have close impressions on each other, beside their culture and dwellings.
