- H-60
H-60 is often used as a general name for a wide family of U.S. military helicopters. However, they all use a modified mission symbol in addition to the 'H' vehicle type designator under the
1962 United States Tri-Service aircraft designation system (meaning, there is no craft named an "H-60" per se). The mission prefix (e.g. U, M, V) only has tangential meaning to the suffix series letter (A/B/C etc.), as most modified mission types encompass multiple series letters. Sikorsky also sells it as the S-70, but it was developed as the UH-60 to specificUnited States Army project requirements. H-60 may refer to any of the following:*
UH-60 Blackhawk
*SH-60 Seahawk
*HH-60 Pave Hawk
*HH-60J Jayhawk
*VH-60 Whitehawk
*MH-60 Knight Hawk
