(2006)The Heart of the City Tour is an American concert tour by R&B singer Mary J. Blige. It will feature Rap superstar Jay-Z. The tour will go to many cities in North America, followed by a Blige solo tour in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. According to Pollstar.com the Heart of the City Tour grossed over $30.7 million dollars, which would make it the most successful female/male hip-hop/R&B tour in history.
The European leg of the Tour is called The Growing Pains Tour and will not include Jay-Z.
Blige will play 12 shows in Europe
History
Blige congratulated Jay-Z and Beyoncé on their marriage during this tour on April 5, 2008 in Greensboro, NC. The couple had not yet gone public with their marriage, which was confirmed a few days later.
