Travis Nevels

Travis Nevels is a songwriter/actor originally from Baytown, Texas . He helped form the Psyche-Rock band Sedation with his brother Kevin Nevels in the early nineties. Other members of this band were Jason K. Golden,(who is as of 2008 wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child, and convicted of possession of child pornography)also,Danny Lee, Mike Madison, and Kenny Palyola (Kenny And The Bluesmen). Travis taught guitar around the Houston area for many years where many of his students referred to him as "The Satraini Of Houston". Sedation broke up in 1993 when they discovered that Travis had painful repetitive movement syndrome. After having surgery for a carpal tunnel release in 1994 with no results became a recording artist/producer. He helped to open and get the ball rolling at "Green Desert Productions" in Crosby Texas where several projects were produced. After recording Thunder And Rain(a guitar rock CD)and Out The Door(a concept americana folk CD). Travis moved to Austin to form a solo act in 2004 with Mike(Mikey) Mills and Kevin Glen.The CD Illusion 2004 was recorded in Austin with Mark Nine on fretless bass. Another CD called Metamorphosis was recorded in 2006 in Mansfield Arkansas. This CD is a catharasis from his travels to Europe in 2005 after he was unable to see a doctor in the United States. In 2007, Travis Nevels appeared in the Kevin Ford film "When Is Tomorrow" staring Angela Bettis and Eddie Steeples(Crabman from "My Name Is Earl").
