Morrison competed at the1928 Olympic Games inAmsterdam , where he received a gold medal in freestyle featherweight. Pihlajamaki was one of supreme breed of athlete, a wrestler who achieved 2 olympic golds and 1 silver, over the course of his career:the silver being the result of his loss to Allie Morrison.Olympic champions are the official World Wrestling Champions in an Olympic Games Year, as, by agreement with FILA, no other World Championship takes place during such a year.
