Joe Iconis

A theater composer with a cult following,Joe Iconis is a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. He is a recipient of the 2006 Jonathan Larson Award, the 2007 Ed Kleban Award, and a Backstage Bistro Award. His innovative rock musical style has brought forth several shows including, "PLASTIC! The Musical", "TRIUMPHANT BABY!", "The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks", "The Black Suits", and "Things to Ruin". Joe Iconis has had several shows of his music at The Laurie BeechmanTheater, The York Theater, and the infamous Joe's Pub. In his "Mule Revolution" Tour 2008, Joe had several popular musical theatre faces perform in his Rock and Roll Jamboree including Anthony Rapp (Original cast of Rent), John Gallagher Jr. (original cast of Spring Awakening), Lauren Marcus (original cast of "The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks"), Cortney Wolfson (Les Miserables), Krysta Rodriguez (Spring Awakening, In The Heights) and Annie Golden (Assassins, Xanadu).
