White House Medical Unit

White House Medical Unit

The White House Medical Unit is the US Government office responsible for the medical needs of White House staff and visitors. It is part of the White House Military Office. They also assign the personal physician to the President of the United States and provide medical care to the President, the Vice President, and their families.

The director of the unit is often called the White House Physician.

The current director and personal physician to the President of the United States is Brigadier General Dr. Richard J. Tubb, USAF.
