Lira Regional referral hospital is the latest entry into the list of the eleven regional
hospitals . Upgraded from a district hospital to regional status on the 22 December 2003, Lira hospital is a 350 bed hospital situated inLira municipality in northernUganda , 350 km away fromKampala . The hospital serves a population of 2 million people form the surrounding districts of Apac, Dokolo, Oyam, Kotido and Lira.Lira Hospital offers general medical and surgical services as well as specialized services in all clinical fields.
