The Discocks

The Discocks where a Pogo Punk/Oi! band formed in 1991. During their first year of formation there was many lineup changed on drums and guitar. The Band eventually settled on a temporary line-up to record their first demo in 1991. In 1993 the Band released their first e.p. "Voice Of Youth" on New Age records. The e.p. was re-released with a different cover on Helen Of Oi! records in 1994. The Band Continued to play shows in Japan Before in 1995 releasing The Class Of '94 ep on Knock Out records this ep contained 3 covers of English Oi!/Punk band The Ejected and also releasing Split e.p. with Tom And Boot Boys On Knock Out records. In 1997 The Band Went To North America to record their first full Length Long Live Oi! During their time they toured the east coast with The Unseen,The Casualties and Blanks 77. The Unseen members Mark and Paul also contributed to the choruses on some songs on Long Live Oi! after returning to Japan in late 1997 the band recorded a 2 track e.p. on overthrow records called Bootboys Anthem in 1998 the band broke up and members Peter and Naka Chin went on to form The Avoided a band with a simaler sound to the Discocks. After 5 years The Discocks returned with a new line-up and a new sound a more aggressive sound. They recorded a 3 track reunion demo which they sold at various undergroung punk shows in Japan. In 2004 the band released a 10 track split cd with Swedish punk band The Negatives. In 2005 the band released their 2nd full length Don't Be Fooled,Don't Be Satisfied,Don't Be Ruled,Don't Be Denied On Pogo 77 records. The Band continues to play shows in Japan and Korea.
