Mahraz Darshan Das Jee (December 7, 1953-November 11, 1987 was the founder of Sachkhand Nanak Dham International and the head of Das Dharam. He composed over 300 hymns, (Shabads, Shalok, Doha) in a collection that he gave the title of "Yashwanti Niradhar Dham Pehla".

Biography

Early life and education

Mahraz Jee was born Darshan Lal Vasudev on December 7, 1953 in Batala, India. He has his first enlightenment experience in 1966.

Career

Following his second enlightenment experience on July 9, 1971, he dedicated his life to teach God’s true messages. He performed his first spiritual discourse just over a month later on August 15, 1971, and took on the name Darshan Das. (This date is celebrated by his followers as Jyoti Diwas.) He established three deras -- in Batala (1973), Loni (1977) and Birmingham (1982). He founded Das Dharam on February 16, 1980, and Sachkhand Nanak Dham in 1984. Throughout his career, he urged unity and peace in India.

Death and afterward

On November 11, 1987, Mahraz Jee and two of his followers, Das Chacha Ji Joga Singh and Das Baba Ji Satwant, were assassinated by extremists against Mahraz Jee's preachings.
