Eurosong '08

Eurosong '08 was the Belgian national final for choosing a candidate to performe the Belgian entry at the semi final of Eurovision Song Contest 2008 on May 20th in Belgrade, Serbia.

As with 2006, four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final were broadcast between 27 January and March 9. The show was broadcast on Flemish broadcaster VRT, and each qualifying heat containes 5 acts, with the top two acts proceeding to the semi-final. Two wildcard entries were also chosen, bring the total number of acts to 5 in each semi-final. In the semi-finals the top two acts again proceeded to the semi-final, with one wildcard entrant chosen as well. The final was won by then unknown Ishtar with their song O Julissi Na Jalini.

Unlike in previous years, only televoting was implemented, with no jury vote used. The jury, however, did comment on the performances and were able to choose the wildcard entries.
