Ravindra Svarupa Das, sometimes spelled Ravindra Swarupa dasa (born William H. Deadwyler, III) is a religious leader of the
International Society for Krishna Consciousness ("ISKCON," popularly known as "Hare Krishna "). He was initiated bySrila Prabhupada in1971 . He has been a member of ISKCON'sGoverning Body Commission since1987 , Chairman of that Commission's North American GBC Continental Committee, and is also the president of ISKCON Philadelphia and an initiatingguru .Fact|date=February 2008 He holds an M.A. and Ph.D. inReligion fromTemple University and a B.A. inphilosophy from theUniversity of Pennsylvania , and he has used this education to further the discourse ofGaudiya Vaishnava Theology within the context ofISKCON .Fact|date=February 2008He also is featured on Shelter's "Attaining the Supreme," where he gives a lecture on a hidden track.Fact|date=February 2008
