Leonard Cheshire Disability East and North Africa Region

Leonard Cheshire Disability East and North Africa is the East and North Africa regional office of Leonard Cheshire Disability, a leading UK disability organisation which campaigns to change attitudes to disability and supports disabled people all over the world. The organisation was established by Leonard Cheshire, a Second World War British RAF pilot and philanthropist.

The regional office was established in 1998 and works with 33 services in 8 countries: Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Morocco, Rwanda and the Seychelles.

The main programme strands of the organisation are economic empowerment, inclusive education and vocational training.
