Gary King (footballer)

Gary King (born January 27, 1990 in Grimsby, England) is an English born professional footballer currently playing for Lincoln City.

Club career

King started his journey in Lincoln City's U9's team. He went up through the ranks for ten years. He also played for East Coast Juniors as a young kid and played in the youth champions league in Leceister with King easily the seasiders best player. A memorable game King stared in was in the East Lincs league fixture where East Coast recorded an important 2 - 1 win over Sleaford with Thomas Zanelli scoring a wonderful strike in the opening few minutes, a strike which was later voted goal of the season, a win which helped secure another title for East Coast. King scored a memorable 50 goals from midfield that season. King signed his first professional contract on April 19, 2008. Later that day, he made his first start for Lincoln and scored against Brentford in the 39th minute of the game. Lincoln later went on to win this match 3-1.

King has been described as a 'Rising Star', and he is seen as a very positively determined player with a huge future. A fantastic talent perhaps the next England international.
